Just 10 minutes from the Research
Triangle Park, 8 miles from Raleigh
and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Cary is ideally
located to take advantage of all the Triangle Region has
to offer.
Cary hosts an outdoor performance park considered the gem
of the region. Regency Park is located among 14 acres of
stately hardwoods and pines and accommodates 7,000. It offers
spacious lawn and deck seating overlooking a beautiful Symphony
Lake. The amphitheatre's performance season runs April through
October and features as many styles of music as there are
musical tastes. The North Carolina Symphony, a full-time
professional orchestra of 65 members, performs it Pops Summerfest
Series each year at Cary’s Regency Park.
Research Triangle Park (RTP), an easy commute from Cary,
is considered one of the nation’s most important biotechnology
hubs. It is also home to well-known high-tech and pharmaceutical
players including IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Cisco Systems, and
Nortel Networks.
Cary itself is home to the software
giant SAS. For the nine straight years, SAS has made FORTUNE
magazine's annual list of the "100 Best Companies to
Work For." It has been named No. 1 in child care and
also was recognized as one of the companies with the best
health care and work-life balance.
Soccer is big in Cary! The SAS Soccer Park, on 150 acres
on the eastern edge of town, has been home to a professional
women’s soccer team and in line to welcome its first
professional men’s team.
Cary Academy, an independent college-preparatory school
is a well-known school for grades 6-12 with an extraordinary
academic reputation.
Culture, recreation, and livable planned communities can
all be found in Cary. Any anything you can’t find
in Cary is just a 10-minute drive away!

Bond
Park
Fred G. Bond Metro Park, at 310 acres, is
one of the largest municipal parks in Wake
County. Like an oasis in the midst of the
city, the park design preserves the environment
and offers opportunities for many types of
recreation. All facilities are integrated
into the natural setting. Visitors may enjoy
picnics, play ball on the athletic fields,
see a performance in the amphitheater, walk
along the trails, or play on the Lazy Daze
Playground.
Cary
Town Band
The band was formed in the Fall of 1987 with
sixteen musicians. Today, it is composed of
over thirty musicians from Cary, Raleigh,
Apex, and surrounding areas, almost all of
whom are professionals in some other line
of work than music.
Fine
Arts League of Cary
The mission of the Fine Arts League of Cary
is to provide continuing education for its
members through regularly scheduled programs
and to encourage artists by offering opportunities
to exhibit their visual art while contributing
to the cultural environment of the community.
Jordan
Hall Arts Center
Jordan Hall Arts Center grew out of the Cary
Arts Center, which was established in 1979.
Since 1993, Jordan Hall has provided arts
classes and activities for all ages. The center
features an art gallery for monthly exhibits
that promote and support local artists. Studio
time for potters, painters and portrait artists
is regularly scheduled. The center is also
monthly meeting place for The Fine Arts League
of Cary.
